This website has come a long way since my vision back in 1999. In the year 2000, it was brought to life. Primitive web functions coupled with slow download speeds (and a poor sense of color taste but we don't talk about that!) made for a rough presentation. Still, the idea was there: I wanted to find a way to present my professional side while still leaving some personality. All too often, professional development websites are left bland and bleached in an effort to conform with perceived expectations. I like to think of this presentation as a few degrees from the norm. Here, I try to show more than what I did and what my goals are, but also why I am doing it and where I hope to be.
The official domain was registered back in April of 2002. For some time it was served through Geocities until funding became available for the ad-free environment you see today. Ads were never part of the equation but in the past, money was the deciding factor. As major revisions go, this is the fourth. Each time, more rich and dynamic content are added making the experience better for the visitor. Since the beginning, all pages are designed and developed by me, alone.
